On Saturday, January 21st, I gave a lecture on the making of my book, Harker's Barns, at the Carnegie Library Museum in Perry, Iowa. As a member of Humanities Iowa Speaker's Bureau, the lecture was sponsored by HI and Hometown Perry Iowa Association. For the next two months, twenty of the photographs from the book will be on display at the Library Museum if you are interested in viewing my black and white photographs.

The Hotel Patee, across the street from the Carnegie Library Museum, is only one of three AAA Diamond rated hotels in Iowa and it is a First Class experience!

If you are looking for a great weekend getaway, try visiting Perry and seeing my exhibit at the Museum.

Ask for Shirley Keenan at the Museum and she will be happy to tell you all about the Railroad history and other facts of this great small Iowa community.
