One of the really great features of my Nikon D80 is the ability to shoot in B/W using green, yellow, orange or red filters - a Zone System on a chip. Here are two images I shot on Saturday in Eldora, Iowa. One is a detail of the Hardin County Courthouse and the other is a building on the west side of the town square.

I have tried to get interested in the Bejing Olympics this year, but have found it difficult. Maybe it's because once again there won't be any gold medals handed out to photography - it still hasn't caught on as a truly competitive sport despite having been around for longer than modern Olympic games.

If you try to make a living as a professional photographer you learn early on that it is really competitive! Maybe it just doesn't fly as a spectator sport, eh?
